TONING YOUR HAIR EXTENSIONS!!!!

Toning your hair purely means you’re eliminating any brassy or yellow tones by neutralising them, for blondes it's simple enough to do with purple shampoo. Purple and violet are the opposite of the colour yellow and orange, which means purple pigments will neutralise yellow or orange ones - You learn something new every day!!!!

HERES HOW TO DO IT;

Brush your extensions to make sure there are no tangles before you begin. fill your bowl with lukewarm water and add about 3 squirts of our brand purple shampoo. Mix the water around to make sure it’s all mixed together.

Holding your weft at the top, place it into the water. Leave it to soak for 1 to 2 minutes depending on how much you want to tone/lighten your extensions colour. Occasionally massage the shampoo and water combination into the hair. Don’t leave it in for any longer than 2 minutes (recommended time for our purple shampoo product) or your extensions may go a greyish tone or end up purple.

Next remove the weft from the mixture and rinse well with warm water until the water runs clear.

Apply our brand hair repair mask to the hair and leave on a towel for 2 to 30 minutes depending on how much time you have or if your doing this in the shower.

Apply a light layer of remy our brand argan oil which is also a heat protectant. Our oil is clear which will not leave a colour on your hair over time.

Leave the hair to air dry naturally or use the blow dryer on a low heat setting. Once they are dry brush them out.

If you already have your extensions applied follow these steps while in the shower.

Repeat this every few weeks or as necessary.

ADDITIONAL TIPS FOR TONING HAIR EXTENSIONS;

*Always perform a strand test first if you have never used the brand of purple shampoo to ensure it’s not going to turn your extensions a colour you hadn’t planned!

*Never bleach your extensions. Bleach and peroxide will dry your extensions out making them break.

*Treat your extensions like your own hair. They’re a product that requires regular maintenance and care.

THE MORE YOU MAINTAIN YOUR EXTENSIONS THE LONGER THEY WILL LAST!!!!!
